Accommodation Overview

Guillemot is a charming single-story two-bedroom cottage, part of the Seaspray group, perched on the West Pentire headland along the South West Coast Path. With stunning coastal views stretching over Goose Rock to the Newquay coastline, it comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Dogs are very welcome (up to two, free of charge). Guests enjoy free access to the Crantock Bay Leisure Club, which includes a heated indoor pool, spa bath, and tennis court.

Living

The bright and airy sitting room features comfortable seating, a dining area for four, TV with Freeview, DVD player, and Wi-Fi. Central heating ensures year-round comfort. Patio doors lead to a private enclosed rear patio, perfect for relaxing outdoors or dining al fresco while enjoying coastal views.

Eating

The fully equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, making self-catering simple. Guests can dine indoors at the table or outdoors on the patio with seating and a charcoal BBQ.

Sleeping

Guillemot has two bedrooms: one king-size double and one twin room. A shower room with rainfall shower, basin, and WC serves the property. Travel cot and highchair are available on request. All bed linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).

The nearest, Crantock Beach, is just a five-minute stroll from the apartment and is widely regarded as one of Cornwall’s most beautiful sandy bays. A short drive brings you to Holywell Bay, known for its dramatic twin islets and wide open sands, or Fistral Beach in Newquay, the UK’s surf capital. Whether you prefer sunbathing, paddling with the kids, or catching waves, the local beaches offer endless variety.

A gentle stroll will take you around the headland to Polly Joke Beach, a secluded cove famed for its carpets of poppies in early summer. For longer adventures, follow the coast path towards Holywell Bay or Newquay, stopping to enjoy sweeping ocean vistas along the way. Inland, the Gannel Estuary provides a calmer setting for riverside walks rich in wildlife and birdlife.

Location & Directions

Coming off the A3075, take the sign post to Crantock & West Pentire. Stay on West Pentire Road until you get into West Pentire. You will find Crantock Bay Apartments on your RHS, and the Bowgie Inn straight ahead. Take the road round to the left and then turn right onto a dirt track, signposted to Porth (Polly) Joke Beach.

Cormorant can be found on the RHS before you get to the five bar gate.
